Each marketplace has its own categories, required fields and quality rules for product data.<\/p><h2>What marketplaces require from product data<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>unique identification, usually via the GTIN<\/li>\n<li>mapping to the marketplace&#8217;s categories and their required attributes<\/li>\n<li>images that meet defined specifications, such as isolated product images at a minimum resolution<\/li>\n<li>legally required details, such as manufacturer and safety information under the GPSR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Marketplaces and PIM<\/h2>\n<p>Without PIM, marketplace data is often maintained manually for each marketplace. With PIM, it is generated from the central dataset, mapped to each marketplace&#8217;s structure and delivered via interfaces or feeds.
