Cue Dam

Cue Dam is the digital asset management solution from Denmark-based Stibo DX, part of its Cue platform for media companies. It originated as DC-X, a system developed by Hamburg-based Digital Collections, which Stibo DX acquired in 2019. It has been called Cue Dam since January 2021.

Deployment and security

According to Stibo DX, Cue is available as SaaS, PaaS or on-premises. The Stibo DX Cloud runs on AWS, using the Canada region for The Globe and Mail. IPPEN.MEDIA runs a self-hosted Cue deployment. Stibo DX does not list certifications on the pages reviewed.

Integration with PIM and other systems

Cue Dam does not offer a PIM system. The Cue platform consists of Content Store, Print, Dam, Autopilot and Hive. No specific PIM integrations are listed; Stibo DX points to an open architecture and partnerships.

Who is Cue Dam suited to?

Cue targets media companies and publishers. Cue Dam is used to manage large media archives, such as The Hindu’s collection of more than 80 million assets.

Ownership

Stibo DX is part of the Stibo Software Group, which is 100% owned by the Stibo Foundation. Hamburg-based Digital Collections (DC-X) was fully acquired on 11 April 2019 and has operated under the Stibo DX name since 2021.
