iconik

iconik is a cloud-based media asset management platform focused on video and moving images, developed by Sweden-based Iconik Media AB. A defining feature is its hybrid approach: original files remain in your own on-premises or cloud storage, where iconik indexes them and generates proxies.

iconik runs as a SaaS solution on Google Cloud, with data centres in Belgium (EU) and Iowa (USA). Its FAQ also mentions AWS and a choice of cloud provider for the Enterprise plan. SOC 2 Type II compliance is documented (April 2025); iconik does not mention ISO 27001 or TISAX.

Integration with PIM and other systems

The 68 listed integrations do not include PIM modules or PIM integrations. Connections primarily cover storage, media and editing systems such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve. According to the integrations page, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Figma and Canva can be accessed via CI HUB.

iconik targets media and creative teams, from small businesses and agencies to enterprise customers in sectors such as sports, publishing and media production.

Pricing

Starter uses usage-based pricing: Collaborator $0, Browse User $9, Standard User $65 and Power User $120 per month. Professional and Enterprise pricing is available on request. A trial is available.

Ownership

iconik is part of Backlight, a media technology company backed by PSG. The acquisition was announced in April 2022. Previously, iconik had been spun off from Cantemo AB in 2019.
