Webgate.io

Webgate.io is a cloud platform from Munich-based Media Services GmbH (Pharos – The Post Group) for dailies, review and media sharing in film and television production. Its focus is on video streaming, frame-accurate feedback and controlled media sharing; the vendor does not position it as a DAM system in the strict sense.

Hosting and security

Webgate.io runs as SaaS in EU data centres powered by renewable electricity. The vendor cites an ISO-27001-certified data centre, not certification of its own company. Uploads and downloads use AES-256 encryption, and two-factor authentication is available.

Integration with PIM and other systems

There is no PIM offering, and no PIM integrations are listed. According to the comparison table, an OAuth-secured API with Swagger documentation (files, uploads, comments, metadata, users) is included in the Studio plan and above. Integrations with LockitScript and Silverstack Lab are also listed.

Who Webgate.io is for

According to the vendor, film and media productions, particularly dailies and post-production (‘By filmmakers for filmmakers’).

Pricing

Team costs €180, Plus €350 and Studio €690 per month with monthly billing (€162, €315 and €621 respectively with annual billing). Enterprise pricing is available on request. All prices exclude VAT and include unlimited users and a two-week trial subscription.

Ownership

Media Services GmbH, formerly ARRI Media, has been part of Dr. Stefan Laucher’s group of companies since August 2021 and has operated as Pharos – The Post Group since February 2022. The product was previously known as ARRI Webgate.
