hoerl Information Management

hoerl Information Management is a Stuttgart-based specialist in PIM, DAM and database publishing, founded in 2009. hoerl implements systems from partners such as inriver, Stibo Systems, Elytra and ATAMYA and develops its own tools. asim was a PIM brand of Druckhaus Waiblingen. In 2015, Comosoft acquired asim GmbH in Waiblingen near Stuttgart; on 1 July 2017, hoerl acquired Comosoft’s shares in the company. asim GmbH has been part of the hoerl group ever since. Its offerings include the asim:NEXUS integration platform, which connects PIM, DAM and e-commerce systems. According to its own figures, hoerl has 25 employees and more than 60 active customers in manufacturing and retail across the DACH region.

What hoerl Information Management covers

Product information from multiple sources is collected and maintained in one place, then distributed to marketing and sales channels. The scope includes catalogues, websites, multilingual content and the management of graphics and images. One focus is database publishing: catalogues, price lists and data sheets are generated automatically from PIM data, for example using priint:suite or Stibo STEP. ASIM lists Kessel and BITO as reference projects for asim:NEXUS.

Selection considerations

hoerl has a lower market profile than the major platforms and primarily acts as an integrator. This is not necessarily a disadvantage, but it makes checking references more important. Ask to see projects from your industry and find out how catalogues and print publications are produced. For manufacturers with printed catalogues in particular, this is often where systems differ.
