apollon is a software vendor based in Pforzheim and part of the M+M Group. Its platform is called Online Media Net, or OMN for short. It combines PIM, digital asset management, channel management, workflow management and web-to-print.

Online Media Net by apollon

OMN automates the creation and distribution of product data and media assets. Product information and images are managed centrally, with approvals handled through workflows. Channel management distributes data to online shops, retailers and other channels. Web-to-print enables marketing materials and data sheets to be generated directly from the managed data. OMN can be hosted in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main or deployed on your own infrastructure.

With OMN 7, apollon has announced new AI features for autumn 2026, including the OMN Companion assistant for text, translations and image variants, as well as an MCP server that allows AI assistants to retrieve approved product data.

Strengths and limitations

OMN’s strengths lie in environments with extensive media assets, catalogues and channels: PIM, DAM and channel syndication are combined in one platform, workflows run on a dedicated engine, and n8n and Zapier enable processes to connect with other systems. apollon works with Narravero on the Digital Product Passport. OMN is developed in Pforzheim.

What to consider: OMN 7’s AI features are new and should be tested with your own data. Existing customers should plan their migration, as OMN 6.4 marks the end of feature development for the current generation. Also clarify which requirements can be met through configuration and which require extensions or the API, and who will handle implementation.

Who apollon is suited to

On its website, apollon lists customers including Porsche, Euronics, PETER HAHN and SEGMÜLLER. Typical users are retailers and brand manufacturers with extensive media and print material requirements. OMN covers many tasks in a single platform. Check which modules you actually need and ask for a clear explanation of licensing for each module.
