hyperCMS

hyperCMS (hyper Content & Digital Asset Management Server) is an open-source content and digital asset management system from Vienna-based hyperCMS Content Management Solutions GmbH. Development began in 1999. It is available as a free Free Edition, as Standard and Enterprise editions, and as a cloud service. Its customer references are primarily banks and insurers.

Deployment and security

hyperCMS is available as a cloud service (billed by storage usage), as a subscription on managed servers from a hosting partner in Germany, or on-premises on your own servers. The vendor does not list any certifications. The current stable version is 10.2.12.0. The Docker image for the Free Edition was last updated around seven months ago.

Integration with PIM and other systems

No dedicated PIM system is described. The Product Content & Diversity Management solution area covers the organisation, permissions and metadata of product content. Integration with ERP, CRM, e-commerce and catalogue systems is provided through connectors (Enterprise Edition), a SOAP/REST API and OpenSearch, with no specific PIM vendors named. Plug-ins are available for Adobe and Microsoft Office applications.

According to the vendor, use cases include marketing and brand asset management, enterprise content management and product content. Customer references are predominantly from financial services, retail and other service industries.

Pricing

The Free Edition is available without licence fees. Standard and Enterprise pricing is available on request following a demo. The cloud service is free for 14 days and is billed by storage usage. No specific prices are listed on the vendor pages reviewed.
