ResourceSpace

ResourceSpace is an open-source digital asset management system from UK-based Montala Limited. The software originated at Oxfam in 2006; Montala provides hosting, support and consulting services for it.

Deployment and security

Montala hosts ResourceSpace in a London data centre with failover in Cambridge; the software can also be self-hosted. Montala is ISO/IEC 27001 certified (ISOQAR); the interface is available in German, among other languages.

Integration with PIM and other systems

ResourceSpace does not list a PIM module or PIM integrations; connections are handled via the REST API and integration partners. Listed integrations include Adobe, Figma, Canva, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, WordPress, Drupal, and the template solutions BrandStencil and RightMarket.

According to the vendor, ResourceSpace is designed for organisations of all sizes, from charities to large enterprises, including museums, universities, public sector bodies, and brand and product teams.

Pricing

The pricing page lists cloud packages (Team Cloud with 25 users, Business Cloud with 100, Enterprise Cloud with 500, and Platinum Cloud with unlimited users) without specifying prices; the software itself has no licence fee, with charges applying to support. A G-Cloud 14 listing quotes GBP 319 per instance per month.

Ownership

Montala has been fully employee-owned since 2020 through an Employee Ownership Trust and is B Corp certified.
