Reltio

Reltio is a provider of cloud-based Master Data Management. Based in Redwood City, California, the company was founded in 2011 and has a European presence that includes an office in London. Reltio has been part of SAP since May 2026.

Reltio as a multidomain MDM platform

The platform is called “Connected Data Platform”. It brings together data from multiple sources, cleanses it and establishes relationships between records. To do this, Reltio uses a graph database and AI-powered matching rules. The result is a “golden record”, a single, reconciled record for each customer, product, supplier or location.

An important distinction: Reltio is not a traditional PIM. Marketing copy, images and syndication to online stores and catalogues are not its primary focus. Reltio operates a layer below, ensuring that master data is accurate across all domains. This is why many companies combine an MDM solution such as Reltio with a PIM.

Reltio following the SAP acquisition

SAP announced the acquisition in March 2026 and completed it on 7 May 2026. Reltio has since become part of SAP Business Data Cloud and is intended to prepare master data from SAP and non-SAP systems for AI agents. According to SAP, Reltio will also remain available as a standalone solution for the time being. Existing customers without an SAP landscape should nevertheless keep an eye on the roadmap and pricing developments.
