Canto PIM profile

Canto has been an established Digital Asset Management provider for many years and has an office in Berlin. In December 2024, Canto launched its own PIM, shortly after acquiring DAM provider Image Relay. Canto PIM builds on its DAM: product data and media assets are held in one platform.

Features at a glance

  • PIM: products, variants and attributes with no fixed upper limit.
  • DAM: Canto’s established media asset management with permissions and approvals.
  • Output: consistent data and media assets for online stores, social media and partners.
  • Analytics: asset usage reports, SOC-2 certification.

Strengths and limitations

For companies already using Canto as their DAM, its PIM is a natural extension. Marketing teams can then work with images and product data in a single interface. However, the PIM is still new. Complex data models, classifications such as ETIM, supplier onboarding and print publishing should be tested in advance using your own data. We therefore classify Canto as a DAM provider with a PIM module, rather than a traditional PIM.

Who Canto PIM is suited to

Canto PIM suits brands with manageable product ranges where images and media assets take centre stage.
