Wabric profile

Wabric is a platform for manufacturers of configurable and engineer-to-order products, combining CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), PIM and an online storefront. It is developed by Estonia-based Wenture Ltd; according to Wenture, the product was previously called Materia. Rather than focusing on a traditional retail catalogue, it addresses how to manage product rules, variants and bills of materials so that sales teams, partners and customers can generate accurate quotes without involving engineers. Its main target sectors are roofing and façades, pipes and drainage, doors and windows, modular construction, and metal and glass systems. According to the vendor, customers include Saku Metall and Wallenium.

Features at a glance

  • PIM: Centralised management of product data, media and attributes, including product structures, variant logic, component rules and bills of materials.
  • CPQ and configurator: 3D configurators for B2C and B2B, automatically generated quotes, bills of materials and manufacturing drawings.
  • CAD/BIM output: Export of drawings and BIM objects (e.g. IFC) for Revit and Archicad.
  • Partner portal: Dealers and distributors get live pricing, quotes and B2B ordering through their own portal.
  • Data sheets and DPP: Live product data sheets and structured, versioned data for the Digital Product Passport, CPR and ESPR.
  • Integration: REST and GraphQL APIs; according to the vendor, the PIM runs alongside the existing ERP without migration.

Strengths and limitations

Wabric is a strong fit when technically configurable products with many variants need to be sold online, and product data must feed directly into quotes, drawings and orders. Pricing is public: according to the pricing page, plans start at €490 per month (Starter), while the Scale plan with full PIM functionality and a partner portal costs €790. Limitations: the PIM is closely geared towards the configuration and quotation process. For retail catalogues, marketplace syndication or classification standards such as ETIM, you should assess its capabilities carefully. The vendor is small, with visibility mainly in the Baltic and Northern European markets; no presence in the DACH region is apparent.

Who Wabric is suited to

Wabric is suited to small and medium-sized manufacturers in the building products and metal fabrication sectors that offer configurable products and want to automate quoting while bringing product data, a configurator and a partner portal together on one platform.
