AtroPIM is an open-source PIM from AtroCore GmbH, based in Regensburg. The Open-Source Edition is free and runs on your own infrastructure. AtroPIM uses a headless architecture: all data is available via an API, while another system handles delivery to your online store or catalogue.
Product data and media such as images and videos are imported from various sources and enriched in the PIM with translations, technical attributes and descriptions. From there, they are automatically sent to connected channels. The data model can be customised without programming. Import and export are included in the free edition.
Alongside the free Open-Source Edition, AtroCore offers two SaaS editions. According to the price list, the SaaS Edition starts at around €400 per month and includes hosting, support and selected premium modules. The SaaS Premium Edition starts at around €1,930 per month and includes all premium modules. If you host AtroPIM yourself, you can purchase premium modules such as data quality checks for a one-off fee and optionally add an annual update subscription. Since Pimcore changed its licence, more companies have been actively looking for open-source alternatives. AtroPIM is one of them. But look beyond the free licence: hosting, updates and customisation require time or a budget for external service providers. Check how active the community is, who delivers projects in German-speaking markets and which features are only available in the premium modules.
