Product Data Sheet

In brief: A product data sheet summarises a product’s key technical and commercial information on one or two pages, usually as a PDF. It is used in sales, for tenders and as a download in online shops.

Typical content

  • Product image and short description
  • Technical specifications with units
  • Dimensions, drawings and connection diagrams
  • Certificates, standards and safety information
  • Ordering information and accessories

Data sheets from the PIM system

Instead of maintaining individual data sheets in layout software, database publishing automatically generates them from the PIM system, in all languages and always up to date. When a specification changes, the data sheet is regenerated during the next export.
