Omnichannel

In brief: Omnichannel is a strategy that connects all of a company’s channels, such as its online store, catalogue, physical stores, marketplaces and field sales, so customers receive the same information everywhere.

Multichannel and omnichannel

  • Multichannel: multiple channels that operate largely independently of one another.
  • Omnichannel: channels are integrated, allowing customers to move seamlessly between them, for example from a catalogue to an online store via a QR code.

Product data as a prerequisite

Omnichannel only works when all channels draw on the same source. A PIM provides the golden record from which each channel receives the right content. The Omnichannel Health Check shows how well your data already supports this.
